Niche Pokemon Editorial Policy
A fact is printed when two independent public sources agree. One source stays labeled as one source. A conflict stays as two wordings. A missing number stays blank.
Rules used on every page
Species stats come from Pokemon Database and Serebii. Competitive roles come from a named Smogon thread. Card prices are TCGplayer market prices with the day they were read. Champions dates come from the official rules page. I do not average two disagreeing numbers into a third number. Piplup’s hidden ability is the example: Competitive on one dex site, Defiant on the other.
Search volume from a keyword export is used to choose pages. It is not reprinted as a popularity fact about a species unless that export actually lists the name. A null volume is not written as zero.
Corrections: email [email protected] with the page address and the source you trust. I would rather correct a cell than defend it. Jokes on the facts page are marked as written here. They are not citations.

We compare independent public sources and link them beside the data or in Sources. A single source remains labeled, and conflicting sources stay separate.
Can a price be investment advice?
No. A card price is a shop’s market figure on a date. It is not a forecast.
