What loads by default

This site follows a default-on model. If your browser has no stored choice for this site, the page loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra on the first paint. YouTube is requested only when you press a video’s play button. The cookie banner is a notice with Accept and Reject buttons, not a gate: nothing waits for you to press Accept. Press Reject to turn these parties off and remember that choice for 180 days.

Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), measurement ID G-RP1QSQHE4X. It loads the gtag.js script and sets the cookies _ga (two years) and _ga_RP1QSQHE4X (two years) to distinguish browsers and sessions. The property’s configured event-data retention has not been independently checked; Google documents its retention controls in the source below. Google may process the data outside your country under its own safeguards. Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy and its opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), project z8sc3vpwca. It records sessions and builds heatmaps, and sets the cookies _clck (one year), _clsk (one day), MUID (one year), ANONCHK (ten minutes) and SM (session), with the local-storage key _cltk. Clarity provides masking for sensitive content; retention and cookie details follow the vendor documentation linked below. Microsoft’s privacy statement is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Adsterra (Adsterra Ltd.), publisher 3403020, website 6177116. This site uses two page-level units: Native Banner, unit NativeBanner_1 (32104013), in the content flow, and Social Bar, unit SocialBar_1 (32104014), as the fixed bar. Adult ads are turned off in the publisher panel. Adsterra creates its own cookies and local storage under bicea.org and the domain of the creative it serves; the exact names are assigned by Adsterra and can change by campaign, and they are used for frequency capping, impression measurement, fraud prevention and, where you have not rejected, personalized advertising. Adsterra’s policy is at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/.

YouTube (Google LLC). Pages that carry a video show a poster served by this site. Pressing play creates a www.youtube-nocookie.com embed and requests YouTube; no YouTube frame is created before that click. YouTube may set VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE (180 days), YSC (session), PREF (eight months) and CONSENT (two years), and may write yt-player-* keys in local storage. The embed uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player; Google’s privacy policy is linked above. Press Reject and the frame is removed; the poster button remains, and pressing it is your own request to load the video.

This site also serves its own CSS and JavaScript from nichepokemon.com. The consent record described below stays in browser local storage and is not a separate network request. There is no traffic-mesh or other banner SDK on this site.

Your choice, the keys we store, and how to withdraw

The browser stores one record under the local-storage key np_consent_v1. It contains the choice (granted or denied) and an expiry 180 days out. With no record, the site writes granted and shows the banner. Accept keeps granted. Google Consent Mode starts with ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied, analytics_storage granted, and ads_data_redaction enabled before config. The three ad signals stay denied even when the site’s default-on third-party loaders run. Reject writes denied and also sets analytics_storage to denied, sets the ga-disable flag for the measurement ID, removes the Clarity and Adsterra scripts and the YouTube frame, and reloads the page so late third-party timers cannot keep running. The record is read again on every page view. If Global Privacy Control is on, the site writes denied without waiting for a click.

Closing the fixed Social Bar is a separate preference under the local-storage key np_socialbar_closed, also kept for 180 days. Closing the bar hides that one ad unit; it does not change the np_consent_v1 record or switch off Google Analytics or Clarity. The footer’s Cookie settings button reopens the banner at any time, and clearing site data removes both keys.

The site begins the listed analytics, replay and ad requests before an affirmative choice; Accept records an affirmative preference and Reject stops these integrations. The consent record is stored so the site can honour that choice. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not run an account system, a newsletter or a comment form on this site.

Personalized advertising, retention, and your rights

Where personalized ads are shown, you can opt out of Google’s ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com, of participating companies at https://www.youronlinechoices.com/ and https://optout.networkadvertising.org/, and you can read Adsterra’s choices in its policy linked above. Reject on this site is the site-level switch and is stronger than a per-vendor opt-out: it removes the Adsterra units and sets Google’s ad signals to denied.

Retention: the consent choice is kept for 180 days, then the banner appears again. The Social Bar close state is kept for 180 days. Google Analytics and Clarity retention depends on vendor controls and project settings; configured retention has not been independently verified here. Adsterra and YouTube keep data under their own policies. Hosting logs follow the hosting provider’s controls; this site makes no unverified promise about a deletion interval.

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or a copy of any message you sent us, and you can object to a processing step, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live. We have not appointed a separate data-protection officer. This page’s date is the change log: a new third-party script is named here before it ships.

FAQ

Do you use Google Analytics?

Yes. Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-RP1QSQHE4X, loads by default on the first page view. It sets _ga and _ga_RP1QSQHE4X for two years. Reject sets Consent Mode to denied and disables the tag.

Do you use Microsoft Clarity?

Yes. Clarity project z8sc3vpwca records sessions and heatmaps, with _clck, _clsk, MUID, ANONCHK and SM cookies and the _cltk local-storage key. Reject removes the script.

What advertising runs on this site?

Adsterra publisher 3403020 runs Native Banner unit 32104013 and Social Bar unit 32104014. Adult ads are off. Reject removes both units and sets Google’s ad signals to denied.

How do I change the cookie choice?

Use Cookie settings in the footer. The choice is the np_consent_v1 record and lasts 180 days; closing the Social Bar is a separate np_socialbar_closed record that also lasts 180 days.

Does a video load before I press play?

No. A local poster remains until you press play. That click requests the privacy-enhanced YouTube player. Reject removes an existing frame, and the restored play button can request a video again.
